Who is Jesus Christ?
Jesus Christ is the second member of the Godhead. The Godhead is the high-ranking heavenly order that consists of God the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. These three people are of different forms and callings but work to achieve one purpose.
This article is centered on introducing Jesus Christ to an unbeliever, and we will emphasize that more.
Jesus Christ is the son of God and the only begotten of our Heavenly Father.
According to the scriptures, he was preordained from the beginning of the world to be our redeemer and Saviour of the world. He came to earth to acquire a mortal body (Flesh and blood), Just like everyone living here on earth. He had earthly parents, Mary and Joseph, but the only difference between Jesus Christ and us is that he was conceived by the Holy Spirit and not by sexual copulation.
He is called the only begotten son of God because he had an earthly mother, Mary, and a Heavenly Father, which is God.
Towards the end of every year, during December(25th-30th), Christians worldwide celebrate Christmas in remembrance of the birth of Jesus Christ.
His Earthly Life
Jesus Christ came to earth for a purpose; his primary assignment was to bring us back to our Heavenly Father; he came to reconcile man with God by paying the price of sin with his blood. He also came to teach and show us perfect examples of how we can live wisely and righteously.
Jesus Christ, during His ministry on earth, performed miracles such as healing the sick, raising the dead, waking on the sea, and many more. All the miracles he did were to teach us faith in God and believe that he is genuinely the messiah sent to save us from our sins. The account of Jesus Christ and his ministering days can be seen in the New Testament of the Holy Bible, From the book of Mathew to John. Those who love Jesus Christ, appreciate his sacrifices, and believe in him are called Christians. True Christians have made sacred covenants to worship and become followers of Jesus Christ forever.
His Glory
While Christ was on earth, he made us understand that he came to earth to do his Father’s will. He would always return all the glory to God in all his miracles on earth. He always prayed in the name of the Father (God) Just for us to know that God is the almighty. He told his 12 disciples that he would one day ascend into heaven to sit at his Father’s right hand. In one of his sermons, he said, as recorded in the book of John chapter 14:6, that “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
This message means there is no other way to eternal life except through Jesus Christ. His ultimate sacrifice on the cross of Calvary (Atonement of Jesus Christ) has given all men access to God again. As many as those who believe in him shall be saved. (Read John 3:16)
In April, Christians worldwide celebrate Easter in remembrance of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. After his death and resurrection, Jesus Christ promised to send a comforter, the Holy Ghost, to guide the Christians when he was away and bring to their remembrance of all things he did while he was on earth. The Holy Ghost helps remind us of Jesus Christ, his atonement, and teachings and increase our faith to become better followers.
Church Services
At the beginning of the world’s creation, the scriptures recorded in the book of Genesis that God rested on the seventh day, which he called the sabbath.
Jesus Christ, while he was on earth, also observed the sabbath day; he would often gather his disciples together, break bread together, sing hymns, pray and teach one another the doctrines of God.
Today’s Christians have decided to follow God and Jesus Christ’s example by resting on the seventh day of the week. Sunday is the day Christians accept to leave all work and other activities for worshiping and serving God. They often assemble in their different churches to sing praise and hymns and preach sermons. Some churches would take holy communion or sacrament to remember the atonement of Jesus Christ.
In summary, Jesus Christ has the most incredible power to conquer every evil. He had promised that he would always be there for us and would surely answer our prayers when he said, “Ask, and it shall be given unto you, Seek and ye shall find, knock and it shall be opened unto you.” (Matthew 7:7). Jesus is the most loving friend we can ever have. He is compassionate, sweet to learn from, and easy to love. His grace is sufficient for everyone who believes in him. He is lord and the son of the highest God.
After reading this message, you can pray in your closet, asking God if all these are true and if Jesus Christ is true and real. Surely the Holy Spirit will give you an undoubted testimony of Christ. Amen
