- Login to your betterment account from a web browser
- Go to “settings”
- Select “Accounts”
- Once there, click the three dots to the right of the specific investment account(s) you wish to close
Note: Before you can close or delete an account, you must fully remove any funds from the account. If this is something you need to do, you’ll be prompted to click “Withdraw” from the close account flow.

Alternatively, you can delete betterment account by simply sending an e-mail to the support team at [email protected] with the subject “REQUEST TO DELETE MY ACCOUNT” and attach your registered email + username while stating your reason for leaving the platform.
